As most of you already know, I have a condition that is progressive and non-curable at this time. It is called Spinocerebellar Ataxia - Type 6. I was told several years ago that, I will be using some sort of walking aide sooner or later. For over a year now, I still walk without an aide. I do have a little stagger in my walk, as if I were drunk, but I'm still walking freely. It has progressed a little more, but I believe that I am still walking without and aide, because I exercise almost every day. It may not be curing my condition, but I feel it is helping me to keep my core in stable condition, allowing me to walk freely. I also walk once or twice a week. It is a little rough at times, because my legs get stiff, and it feels like I'm walking like a mummy with stiff legs... BUT, I still finish my walk. Sometimes a little longer than others, but I do it.
I do P90X as my main workout, and I mix it up with other Cardio workouts that we do at our Fit Club. To include Insanity, Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs, TurboFire. I do modify some moves, and I don't jump all the time, but I do what I can do and I pace myself. I love Hip Hop Abs!
What am I getting to with this?!
I am just sharing with you that, if I can workout daily, and I can do Insanity, TurboFire, which are the High Intense workouts ... YOU can definitely do it!! I do have an excuse, BUT I make no excuses! I may not feel like working out some days, but I tell myself to do just 5 minutes. It works! 5 minutes turns into the whole workout! So .... If you are having trouble in getting started, or wanting to make a change in your health and fitness levels ... Think of me! and tell yourself like I tell you ... If I can do it .. you can too! And if you need or want help, support, motivation, and need an accountability partner .. all you have to do is ask! That is what I do! So don't make anymore excuses! Just get up and do it! Take that first step, and make that change! It's not too Late! It's never too late! Just get up and do something! And like I said ... I'll do it with you!
